Mourning the Male Gaze

With this body of work, I seek to capture the female experience beyond the male gaze. I photograph in black and white and use intentional camera movement to create a pull toward the essence of the moment. My camera is an extension of myself, and in the most experimental way possible, I approach the women in and around my life in their everyday lives with my photography. My goal is to evoke a new way of seeing some kind of universal truth about womanhood in a saturated world of fabricated images portraying women.
